A Cala Zafferano può capitare che, mentre qualcuno cerca il punto perfetto per una foto e qualcun altro pensa al primo bagno della giornata, arrivi lui.
Un toro.
E non sembra particolarmente impressionato né dalla sabbia bianchissima, né dal mare cristallino, né tantomeno dai turisti che gli stanno intorno. Passeggia tranquillo, in completa libertà, come se quella spiaggia fosse casa sua. E, a pensarci bene, probabilmente non ha neanche tutti i torti.
Cala Zafferano, nel territorio di Teulada, è uno degli angoli più selvaggi della Sardegna: dune, ginepri, sabbia finissima e un mare che passa dal turchese al verde smeraldo. La spiaggia si trova all’interno dell’area del poligono militare e proprio le fortissime limitazioni all’accesso hanno contribuito, nel tempo, a preservarla dall’urbanizzazione e dal turismo di massa.
In Sardegna, del resto, vedere animali allevati allo stato brado o semibrado fa ancora parte del paesaggio rurale. E quando territorio e mare praticamente si incontrano, può succedere anche questo: un bovino che arriva fino alla spiaggia e trasforma una giornata al mare in una scena difficile da dimenticare.
La natura, quando le lasciamo abbastanza spazio, ogni tanto ci ricorda una cosa molto semplice: non siamo sempre noi i protagonisti.
A Cala Zafferano, almeno per oggi, il vero influencer è lui. 🐂🌊
E considerando la location, dobbiamo ammettere che se l’è scelta piuttosto bene.

At Cala Zafferano, while someone is searching for the perfect spot for a photo and someone else is thinking about their first swim of the day, he might suddenly appear.
A bull.
And he doesn’t seem particularly impressed by the dazzling white sand, the crystal-clear sea, or even the tourists around him. He strolls along peacefully, completely free, as if that beach were his home. And, come to think of it, he’s probably not entirely wrong.
Cala Zafferano, in the territory of Teulada, is one of Sardinia’s wildest corners: dunes, juniper trees, incredibly fine sand and a sea shifting from turquoise to emerald green. The beach lies within the military training area, and the strict restrictions on access have, over time, helped protect it from urban development and mass tourism.
After all, in Sardinia, seeing animals raised in the wild or semi-wild is still very much part of the rural landscape. And where the countryside practically meets the sea, even this can happen: a bull wandering all the way down to the beach, turning an ordinary day by the sea into a scene that’s hard to forget.
When we give nature enough space, every now and then it reminds us of something very simple: we’re not always the main characters.
At Cala Zafferano, at least for today, the real influencer is him. 🐂🌊
And considering the location, we have to admit: he chose his spot pretty well.
